I have been training dogs since I was 11 years old and took it up professionally 16 years ago. I have attended many courses and seminars and keep up to date with the latest training techniques. I use positive reinforcement and non-aversive training techniques, which I feel brings out the best in our dogs - I will always make learning fun for you and your dog. I believe that training dogs is like teaching English as a foreign language and when our dogs are not doing as we wish, it is generally because they don’t understand what we are asking from them. I will teach you to read your dog’s body language and to break down and understand exactly what we are asking from your dog. My one-on-one training sessions are tailored to meet you and you dogs specific requirements. I usually do training sessions in our large 1-acre field in Waltham Abbey (30 mins from London) but we also do home visits where necessary.

Some owners are looking for help with particular issues which include separation anxiety, dog aggression, poor recall, fear-based issues, jumping up, biting, pulling on the lead and house training, all of which I can help with. Other owners are looking for help with general obedience such as teaching dogs or puppies basic commands such as sit, down, stay, recall, leave, tricks and loose lead walking. Some owners just want 1 session while others will need more so whatever your training needs, I can put together a tailored package that will give you guaranteed results.

We start off with an in-depth consultation, where we will discuss your requirements and what you are hoping to achieve. We will talk about your dog’s history, its behaviour, routine and feeding patterns, all of which will give me an understanding of your dog. Based on the consultation we will decide how many sessions you may need - I recommend weekly sessions where you’ll be given some techniques to practice during the week. Learning will be as fast or as slow as necessary and you will always leave a lesson feeling like you are confident in continuing what you have learnt at home.
